There is a brief history behind the foundation of Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association. Mrs. Jayasri Maiti, The Foundress of this organisation, meet Mother Teresa during her duty at the wood burn ward in S.S.K.M. Hospital, Kolkata Mother`s holy hand touched her head. This blessing of Mother inspired Mrs. Maiti greatly to do something for serving the needy and poor people. Then social entrepreneur,Mr. Sasanka Maity who is initiated of Sri Ramakrishna Dev and greatly inspired by Swamiji`s ideal – `Serving man is worshipping God ‘made one organisation namely Moyna Ramkrishnayan Association for the development of the helpless backward classes and for imparting education, health and rehabilitation Service to all type of children (able and disable).The name, Ramkrishnayan itself suggests that this organisation is founded inspired by the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev. In the year1992,this organisation was registered by the Society Act, Govt. of West Bengal, after rendering relent less Service for eight years, then in the year 2000, after rendering relent less service for eight years, Mrs. Maiti & Mr. Maity along with some other dedicated social worker Mr. Bidyut Maiti proposed a residential special school for the Blind & Mentally Retarded children. It was started firstly in a Rental house, five years later own land was parched and new construction was started at HarkuliBhanderchak, Moyna. This organisation has become an asset for its Working for the integrated community Development through integrated education and actives

FROM WEST BENGAL COMMISSION FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS-WBCPCR

In 2023, 15-year-old Rajashree Banik of Kantakhali village in Mohanpur Gram Panchayat of South 24 Parganas district received the Birangana Award for her work to prevent child marriage from West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

In 2021, six Adolescent Collective members of Vajachauli Gram Panchayat in Purba Medinipur district were awarded Virangana and Veerpurush by the West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

KJKS has been consistently recognized by Pratham for its valuable contributions to education research and monitoring in West Bengal.

Appreciation for participation in the largest citizen-led Education Survey in India for publishing Annual Status of Education Report (ASER-2021). This national-level recognition underscores the organization's commitment to education monitoring and improvement.

The survey helps assess learning levels across rural India, providing crucial data for education policy development.

KJKS's long-standing commitment to education monitoring began years ago, with recognition dating back to 2014.

Appreciation for participation in the largest citizen-led Education Survey in India for publishing Annual Status of Education Report (ASER-2014).

This early recognition established KJKS as a reliable partner in education assessment and helped build foundations for future collaborations.

Self-Reliance Achieved through Roasted Peanuts by Ritusree Bhunia and Pinki Bhunia

In Ayodhyapur village, Deshapran block, Purba Medinipur district, the Tripti Women’s Group, comprising women from disadvantaged backgrounds, faced significant economic challenges and struggled to support their children's education. To address these issues, Kajla Janakalyan Samity introduced various income-generating activities. Ritusree Bhunia and Pinki Bhunia decided to launch a roasted peanuts business.

With a ?60,000 loan from Kajla Janakalyan Samity, Ritusree and Pinki began roasting and packaging peanuts. As their business grew and additional family members joined, their income increased, enhancing their socio-economic status. The success of their venture enabled them to support their children’s education and create employment for 20 other women in Ayodhyapur village, who now earn ?3,000-4,000 per month.

The survey helps assess learning levels across rural India, providing crucial data for education policy development.

We are retired employees of Dept. of Mass Education Extension and Dept. of Health & Family Welfare Dept. Govt. of West Bengal. During our service period, in 1990 we established a voluntary organisation "MoynaRamkrishnayan Association" for social services and community development. Through this Organisation, multifaceted education, health and rehabilitation programmes have been running continuously for long 35 years. As the recognition of our social works, the Govt. of West Bengal awarded us with the State Award of Best Organisation in 2012.
It is also worth noting that individually outstanding contribution for National Award received from Govt. of India in 2012 and another person State Award received from Govt. of West Bengal in 2014.
These recognitions have increased our responsibility and sincerity of serving the suffering people. Our MoynaRamkrishnayan Association is now running projects approved by Govt. of West Bengal- 1. Primary and Upper Primary English Medium School for the children of the economically weaker families and backward families and 2. Yoga and Naturopathy Training and Treatment Centre for the health services to community people in minimum cost. (3) Rehabilitation Centre cum Community Hall for inclusive education. But, we are suffering from the lack of accommodation for the smooth running of the three projects. For that purpose, we urgent need three separate buildings, a school van and an ICU Ambulance.
In this situation, I earnestly request you to consider our most humble prayer to the kind and benevolent persons like you to oblige us by rendering your company CSR Fund to complete these three projects in the interest of our rural community people.
